In October 2024, a collaboration energy drink featuring Raoh from Fist of the North Star was released, with two flavors. This is a review of one of them, Raoh Energy Mango.

Upon opening the can, a sweet aroma resembling real mango flesh bursts out. The scent reproduction is quite high, and it makes you eager to drink it as you can almost imagine the taste. Let’s take a sip.

When I taste it, the gentle sweetness of mango, as expected from the aroma, spreads out. It's a classic mango flavor that is easy to drink and widely appealing.

Given the combination of "Raoh" and "Energy Drink," one might expect a gimmicky or unusual flavor, but it surprises with a traditional mango flavor that has broad appeal and is very delicious.

The refreshing taste of ripe mango with a subtle acidity provides a perfect balance, allowing you to drink it easily without an overpowering aftertaste. The taste doesn’t try to mimic heavy, juicy fruit, making it easy to drink in a good way.

The sweet and refreshing aftertaste lingers, and the balance between drinkability and flavor makes it one you’ll finish in no time.

Contains 80mg of caffeine and 300mg of arginine. The ingredient list is presented in a speech bubble, vertically written, which is an interesting design choice.

The entire can is filled with comic strips, and the speech bubbles are all replaced with phrases related to Raoh Energy.

The can’s surface features a smooth matte finish in some parts, which gives a texture reminiscent of comic book paper when held in hand. It’s a brilliant touch that adds to the overall experience.

It’s an interesting product where the world of manga transitions into an energy drink, creating a unique feel when you hold it.

The flavor label is very clear, but some people might find that it stands out too much from the comic strip-themed can design.

That said, the label is easy enough to spot in-store, making it clear that there are two flavors available. Personally, I would love to try a third or fourth Raoh Energy flavor, even if it means replacing an existing one.
