Upon opening, a familiar Red Bull-style classic flavor aroma bursts out. The strength of the scent is almost the same as the full-sugar version of Mother. Let's take a sip and see.

When I take a sip, the sweet and tangy fruity classic flavor spreads across my palate, accompanied by the light mouthfeel and flavor of artificial sweeteners.

It’s not overly sweet, and the sourness stands out, so while you can taste the artificial sweeteners, the flavor will undoubtedly appeal to those who enjoy this kind of classic zero-sugar taste. If you like Red Bull Sugar-Free, this will likely be to your taste.

It contains 153mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, and guarana. Compared to the previous version of Mother ENERGY DRINK SUGAR FREE, the caffeine amount has slightly decreased from 159mg to 153mg.

Previously, the Mother series had cans for both the zero-sugar and full-sugar versions that were not distinct, with only different shades of the same color. However, with this re-release, they have made the design clearer by using a white base with a unique color representing each flavor.

However, labeling only "ORIGINAL" on the flavor name may be a bit unclear and might be a missed opportunity.

That said, for people who frequently drink energy drinks, it’s a minor detail. The shift to a white base makes it much easier to distinguish the zero-sugar version from the previous one.

Soon after, the new Zero Sugar Razzle Berry flavor was released, so it seems they may continue to expand the Zero Sugar series.

However, the energy drink scene in Australia doesn’t seem to have the same demand for sugar-free products as in the U.S., and as of 2023, this situation hasn’t changed. Honestly, I feel a little unsure about how well the Zero Sugar series will be received in Australia, a sentiment I’ve gathered during my visits every year.
