Released in February 2018, Kickstart Original Dew is a new energy drink that combines Mountain Dew flavor with Kickstart's energy ingredients, becoming the main flavor of Kickstart.

When poured into a glass, it has a yellow-green Mountain Dew color, and the scent of citrus lime spreads.

When you take a sip, it has the sweet and refreshing limeade-like flavor unique to Mountain Dew. The taste is almost identical, so it feels like the Mountain Dew flavor is directly carried into the energy drink, Kickstart.

With 5% fruit juice, you can enjoy a fruity taste, which might be because it's Kickstart. It has a slightly richer flavor compared to sugary carbonated drinks. Personally, I prefer the Kickstart with more fruit sweetness over the original Mountain Dew (*´艸｀*)

Whether from the fruit juice content or not, there are quite a few solids floating in the original Dew. It might be a bit unsettling for those not used to floating solids (Σ(´∀｀；))

It contains 90mg of caffeine. The 5% fruit juice is from white grape and orange. There are no special energy ingredients aside from caffeine. It would be nice if there were something else.

It contains 21g of sugar, which is about half the typical amount, making it a half-sugar formula. The low calorie content is a nice bonus for those concerned about health.

If this design were used for a Mountain Dew energy drink, I think many people would buy it!

Since 2017, Kickstart, which is the later release compared to the AMP energy drinks from the same Mountain Dew brand, has been getting more and more developed, and it seems likely that Kickstart will become the main energy drink brand in the future. Let's look forward to new flavors!
