The lime green color of Mountain Dew, with a lime-like fruity scent.

When you take a sip, it has a very light Mountain Dew flavor. Since it's sugar-free, it lacks the heavy sweetness and goes down smoothly.

Compared to the original Mountain Dew, it lacks the fruity lime flavor and has a lighter taste. The taste of artificial sweeteners is strong, so there is no umami or richness.

This has the typical sugar-free taste, and its light sweetness and refreshing lightness might divide opinions.

Although it’s Mountain Dew flavored, both the taste and scent feel lacking, so many people likely wouldn’t buy a second one. The reason it was discontinued is kind of understandable now.

There are no solids or sediment. A very clean lime green (*´艸｀*).

The sugar-containing KICKSTART ORIGINAL DEW had quite a few solid particles floating, so I was wondering if the KICKSTART ULTRA ORIGINAL DEW I reviewed this time would have any solid particles as well.

Energy Components of KICKSTART ULTRA ORIGINAL DEW

Contains 90mg of caffeine. Includes coconut water, orange juice, and fruit juice. I couldn’t really taste the coconut, but it might have been added to provide some thickness or weight, similar to a sugared version.

Design of KICKSTART ULTRA ORIGINAL DEW

True to its sugar-free nature, it combines silver as the main color with Mountain Dew’s lime green. I didn’t notice the “ULTRA” label until I reviewed it (Σ(´∀｀；)).

The tab is the same lime green as the original Dew.

This set, which was released in February 2018 with two original Dew variants, saw only the sugar-free Ultra version discontinued in 2020. Considering the flavor satisfaction, it seems like it was inevitable?
