Flavor of NOS ZERO CHARGED CITRUS

When opening the can, a citrus scent along with a candy-like sweetness fills the air. At this stage, the citrus flavor doesn’t seem very strong.

When poured into a glass, the familiar fluorescent yellow color is present. The carbonation is weak, almost no bubbles form. There might be some variation in this between products.

As for the taste... you might find yourself thinking, "Is this really citrus?" The acidity is very weak, and the slight tartness seems to enhance the artificial sweetness rather than stand out on its own.

Despite the name "Charged Citrus," there’s almost no acidity, and the zero-calorie sweetness stands out, which may not match the expectations of someone wanting a refreshing citrus flavor.

Comparing this NOS ZERO CHARGED CITRUS to the regular CHARGED CITRUS would be unfair. Honestly, it might have been better not to release it at all, as it doesn’t quite deliver the citrus flavor that one would expect from a citrus drink.

Among zero-calorie flavors, citrus and berry ones tend to show a significant degradation compared to their original counterparts, and NOS ZERO CHARGED CITRUS seems to fall into that category. On the other hand, if you enjoy the distinct taste of zero-calorie drinks, you might really like this one.

Energy Ingredients of NOS ZERO CHARGED CITRUS

It contains 160mg of caffeine, taurine, theanine, guarana, and other ingredients, similar to other NOS products, with the key difference being zero calories and zero sugar. By the way, there’s also the Shuchu Regain in Japan that features theanine, which NOS has been including as a standard ingredient for a long time.
