The color is a clear representation of a lemon-lime flavored drink. The aroma is exactly like Japanese lemon chu-hi, making it feel familiar to those used to such beverages.

Upon tasting, a sweet lemonade-like flavor takes center stage, followed by a hint of citrus bitterness and the smooth taste of vodka. It’s a rich lemonade vodka.

Unlike Japanese lemon chu-hi, this doesn’t have a sharp acidity but is rather a mildly carbonated and smooth lemonade. Instead of chugging it down, it feels more suited for leisurely sipping. Personally, I think it’s best enjoyed over plenty of ice on a sunny afternoon (●´ω｀●).

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR VODKA CHARGED LEMON CITRON

The 2019 revamped Rockstar Vodka series explicitly states that it is "not an energy drink," and true to that, it does not contain caffeine or any energy ingredients. There are also no detailed ingredient listings.

One key feature is the inclusion of lemon juice. However, it doesn’t have a natural lemon taste but rather a lemonade flavor, so don’t expect a strong fruit presence.

For some reason, only the word "CHARGED" is in a different font. If this were the start of a dedicated CHARGED series, it would make sense, but considering Rockstar Vodka isn’t a particularly popular product, it’s best not to expect too much (^_^;).

The design could have used a bit more creativity. Just black and yellow? Feels a bit plain...

That said, the straight star logo is undeniably cool. I especially love how all the key elements are packed into the front.

I have a bit of nostalgia for the straight star design, as I used to drink Rockstar during that era in the U.S. Maybe that’s why I’m particularly drawn to the design of the Rockstar Vodka series. Let’s hope for more new releases beyond 2020!
