In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 8,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of AMP ENERGY BOOST CHERRY
The can is a dull red, but the liquid inside is a bright, vibrant fluorescent red. The cherry scent is quite prominent, and even at the moment I pour it into a glass, my expectations rise.

The flavor is a punchy cherry, with a strong sweetness from sugar added to the cherry flavor. The scent and taste are bold, so it has a satisfying impact when drinking ( ´∀`)b????!
The strong flavor is complemented by a fizzy kick, so as you continue drinking, it actually goes down easily. Plus, the aftertaste doesn’t leave a lingering sweetness. Before you know it, you've finished the whole can. Personally, I enjoy cherry and berry flavors, and I really like fruity punches like this one, so with the clean aftertaste, I end up finishing it in one go (u_u*).
Energy Ingredients of AMP ENERGY BOOST CHERRY

AMP ENERGY BOOST CHERRY contains the standard energy ingredients. With 160mg of caffeine, it’s a satisfying amount. Other energy ingredients include 295mg of taurine, 264mg of guarana, and 33mg of ginseng. I always feel like AMP could include more of these, though.
The surprising part is that the carbohydrate content is only 31g, considering the sweetness. I expected more, given how sweet it is. The calorie count is also not too high, so I think it’s fine to drink even if you're not working out.
Maybe "Overdrive" would be a better name

When it was previously sold with the Mountain Dew logo, it was under the product name "AMP ENERGY OVERDRIVE," and it had the same cherry flavor.
When buying now, the taste is easier to identify, but I feel like a more distinct name, like "Overdrive," would better capture the energy drink vibe and fit the image.
