AMP ENERGY ZERO WATERMELON

This is the sugar-free watermelon flavor from the AMP series, which was fully revamped in 2015. Around 2015, many watermelon flavors were released globally, and AMP introduced their zero-sugar watermelon flavor.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 8,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of AMP ENERGY ZERO WATERMELON
Opening the can with anticipation of how well the sugar-free watermelon flavor can be replicated... I was pleasantly surprised by the real watermelon scent that burst out, leaving me quite impressed ((o(´∀`)o)).
I’ve had a few watermelon-flavored energy drinks, but none have captured the scent of watermelon this well. Most of them had a somewhat grassy or green note to them, lacking the sweet, juicy essence of watermelon. However, AMP ZERO WATERMELON smells just like the fruit itself, with almost no hint of the greenish notes.

The liquid is a highly transparent pink. It might be hard to tell from the photo, but in reality, it's closer to pink than red.
The flavor is a subtle sweetness of watermelon that doesn’t linger too much, offering a refreshing impression. The sweet, fruity aroma stays present throughout, so it can be said that it nearly replicates the watermelon flavor that we imagine as Japanese people. The level of completeness is impressive.
The juicy watermelon flesh flavor is a bit weak, perhaps due to being sugar-free. However, the refreshing taste and the lack of aftertaste typical of watermelon are likely due to the fact that it's made with zero sugar. I think a watermelon flavor works better when made sugar-free, like Rockstar’s Pure Zero Watermelon.
Energy Ingredients of AMP ENERGY ZERO WATERMELON

Contains 157mg of caffeine, taurine, guarana, and ginseng.
Design of AMP ENERGY ZERO WATERMELON

The design features a white base that gives off a zero-sugar, sugar-free vibe with watermelon imagery. It’s easy to tell that this is a sugar-free watermelon flavor at a glance, but personally, I didn’t expect a sugar-free watermelon flavor to be so appealing. In reality, it exceeded my expectations in terms of taste.
It may have been released with a nod to Rockstar's Pure Zero Watermelon, which was launched around the same time. While the design could have used a bit more refinement, I think AMP ENERGY ZERO WATERMELON’s design is visually clearer to those unfamiliar with energy drink brands.
