The bright red color is typical of VENOM, but surprisingly, the scent is quite subtle. A refreshing and crisp fragrance of mixed apple and fruit punch comes through.

Upon taking a sip, the flavor is a sweet and sour fruit punch mix. It is difficult to distinctly taste the strawberry and apple as suggested by the product name, and the flavor is closer to a fruit punch.

If you imagine strawberry while drinking, you might get a slight sense of it, and the same goes for the apple flavor. However, it’s hard to agree with the flavor name based on the taste.

That being said, the punchy taste is so well-executed that it makes you forget it’s a zero sugar drink. There is no lingering aftertaste, and the refreshing fruit punch finish is a pleasant feature of the zero sugar formula.

Compared to the previous low-calorie version, the rough texture on the can surface is gone, replaced by a smooth, glossy surface. The design probably took inspiration from the Monster Energy Ultra series when it was released in 2015.

It's unfortunate that the third design is missing, but here’s a comparison from the previous editions.

You can see how it evolved from the spider theme, to snake eyes, and eventually into the simple, clean white-pink look. The new zero sugar series features more white space, and the contrast with each flavor’s color is beautifully clean and fresh, which I personally like about the design.
