In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 8,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of BUCKED UP LFG BURN CHERRY BLAST
Upon opening the can, a gentle aroma of balanced cherry spreads out. It gives off a natural impression without being overly assertive in sweetness or tartness. Now, let's give it a try.
When I take a sip, I notice a slightly sweet and clear mouthfeel. The taste itself is simply sweet without any noticeable cherry flavor, but the cherry aroma is really well-crafted. As I drink, a gentle cherry scent spreads and lingers for a while, recreating a refreshing cherry flavor experience.
Both the sweetness and tartness are quite mild, so it might not appeal to those looking for a bold, punchy, energy drink-like taste.
As a fat-burning ingredient, it contains “Paradoxine,” which is derived from ginger. Perhaps because of this, I felt a slight spicy sensation in my throat.
That spiciness is subtle enough that only those with particularly sharp taste and smell might notice it, and for most people, it’s probably not something to worry about. Personally, since I’m sensitive to spiciness, I would have preferred if that lingering spicy aftertaste had been toned down or hidden.
Energy Ingredients of BUCKED UP LFG BURN CHERRY BLAST
Contains 160mg of caffeine, taurine, tyrosine, beta-aminoisobutyric acid, theanine, alpha-GPC, Paradoxine, and Huperzine A.
As the name “LFG BURN” suggests, this series is designed with fat-burning support ingredients, making it a fat-burning energy drink.
Design of BUCKED UP LFG BURN CHERRY BLAST
The design features a simple combination of matte brown and white. The BUCKED UP deer logo is small, while the series name “LFG BURN” is prominently displayed, clearly distinguishing it from BUCKED UP's original series.
The large depiction of cherries and the fact that the cherries are the only colorful part make it easy to recognize the flavor—another nice touch.
The main features of the “LFG BURN” series are listed on the front of the can.
It clearly communicates that this is a fat-burning energy drink optimized for burning fat and consuming calories more efficiently.
On the back, you’ll find logos for the signature LFG BURN ingredients: Paradoxine, AlphaSize, and MITOBURN.
Displaying branded ingredient logos like these sets it apart from traditional energy drinks and highlights its identity as a fitness supplement brand entering the energy drink market. It also gives off a vibe that it might actually be effective—which I find pretty interesting.
