When opened, a refreshing aroma with hints of peach and plum tartness bursts out. It’s not the sweet Japanese white-peach scent, but rather the distinctly Western-style peach flavor aroma. Let’s give it a try.

Upon sipping, a sweet-and-tart, juicy blend of peach, nectarine, and plum fills the mouth, with the aroma flowing up through the nose.

It lacks the fibrous texture and rich fragrance unique to fresh peach flesh, so it doesn’t perfectly replicate a real peach flavor. Instead, it’s a simple, juice-free and sugar-free peach mix.

That said, there’s no unpleasant taste or artificial sweetener aftertaste, and the moderate plum-like tartness lingers, preventing any sense of blandness despite being sugar-free.

Overall, it delivers a satisfying peach mix flavor, and the fact that you can enjoy a sweet-and-tart peach taste without any guilt is fantastic.

Energy Ingredients of GHOST ENERGY PEACHES BASKETBALL EDITION

Contains 200mg caffeine, 1000mg Carnipure® L-carnitine (a fat-burning ingredient), 1000mg taurine, 150mg alpha-GPC (a choline precursor for cognitive enhancement), 100mg NeuroFactor® extracted from coffee, and 25mg AstraGin® (a blend of Astragalus membranaceus and Panax notoginseng to enhance amino acid absorption).

The can is wrapped in a film that recreates both the color and surface texture of a basketball.

Its matte surface has small bumps, making it feel as if you’re actually touching a basketball.

Many energy drinks have experimented with various surface textures, but I never expected one to so realistically replicate a basketball. This effect is possible thanks to the unique tactile feel and grip of the special film wrap.

The flavor icon at the bottom of the can combines a peach slice with a basketball, blending them seamlessly.

The back features the common icons used across the GHOST ENERGY series.

For collaborations or special editions, these icons are often replaced with unique ones, but in this case, they remained unchanged.

The release date for this BASKETBALL EDITION was March 2025. It was a campaign product created to coincide with the annual NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly known as “March Madness.”

While many companies launch campaigns around March Madness each year, GHOST ENERGY released a new flavor in a limited-edition basketball skin.

Designed to Sell Out with the End of March Madness

When March Madness ended in April, the standard design version of GHOST ENERGY PEACHES was released.

From the start, the BASKETBALL EDITION was intended to sell out within the one month of March Madness—a truly “limited edition” release.

Four Months After Release, the Hunt in America Was Tough

By early July 2025, when I traveled to the U.S., I visited over 100 stores but couldn’t find a single one… until I finally discovered it in a store located in a rough neighborhood—my last resort.

Before heading to America, I had expected BASKETBALL EDITION to still be in stock, so I never imagined it would be this difficult. But just four months after release, it had completely vanished.

Even after visiting many more stores during my stay, I never saw it again, which really made me realize just how limited the supply was.

I was relieved to finally be able to document a review of the BASKETBALL EDITION.
