mixxed up FIRE
Mixxed up FIRE is a limited edition energy drink from the private brand of the European supermarket chain Lidl, released in 2012. It was launched alongside mixxed up ICE as a set and was available in countries such as Germany, Austria, France, Poland, and Spain. The product was sold in both can and bottle formats, and despite being a limited edition, it had a surprisingly long availability period.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 8,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of mixxed up FIRE
Opening the can releases a fresh cranberry aroma. It’s not a true fruit sensation, but it has a refreshing cranberry-like fragrance.

When you take a sip, you get a sweet and sour, slightly heavy cranberry flavor. I had expected a lighter taste, so it turned out to be a bit more lingering than I imagined.
The tingling sensation left behind is probably due to mixxed up FIRE being a "Cranberry & Chili Flavor." Honestly, I feel this was unnecessary... (^_^;) The cranberry flavor itself was really good, but the chili aftertaste that lingers on the tongue leaves a more lasting impression.
The chili is surprisingly strong. On the other hand, there are some drinks marketed as hot or spicy that end up being much milder, and compared to those, mixxed up FIRE does deliver the flavor as advertised.
Energy Ingredients of mixxed up FIRE

Contains 80mg of caffeine and taurine. At first, I thought it didn’t have any fruit juice, but it seems elderberry juice is included.
Design of mixxed up FIRE
This time, both FIRE and ICE flavors were released simultaneously.

The mixxed up FIRE I’m reviewing features a black and red combination, symbolizing "FIRE," and the flavor clearly evokes the HOT & SPICY concept. While the design itself may not be particularly striking, it does a decent job of representing the flavor.

Interestingly, neither FIRE nor ICE is labeled as an energy drink. However, since this PB series is widely sold as an energy drink line, I decided to highlight it here.
