The product name “BAD APPLE” is a proverb similar to the Japanese “腐ったみかん (kusatta mikan)” meaning “rotten orange.” Literally, it means “rotten apple.”

The name combines the apple flavor with a cringe-worthy (chūnibyō) style energy drink naming, and this dark image is well reflected in the package design.

On the back, there is an energy poem describing that this is not an ordinary apple juice but a unique deliciousness never experienced before.

Although it features exaggerated cringe-worthy expressions, the actual taste is excellent enough to live up to the energy poem, allowing you to enjoy a rich apple flavor that does not betray the mysterious world view of the can design.

This JUICED MONSTER BAD APPLE was purchased during my trip to Hungary in 2025. Compared to the Polish version reviewed in this article, it gives a fresher and more refreshing impression. It maintains juiciness from refrigerated to room temperature, offering a light and sweet-sour apple flesh flavor.

Austria

When opened, it releases an aroma with the sourness of apple flesh, clearly different from other JUICED MONSTER BAD APPLE versions. The taste was a slightly less sweet blend with a green apple note.

In other words, compared to the Polish version, it lacks the rich umami and depth of the apple flesh, so it’s not as impressive. It’s interesting how the taste clearly varies by country.
