ROCKSTAR ENERGISANT BLEU GLACIER
ROCKSTAR ENERGISANT BLEU GLACIER, released exclusively in Eastern Canada in the summer of 2015.
It's interesting that the product uses French labels, as it's intended for Eastern Canada, where French is the primary language. A friend from Northern Europe, who happened to be traveling in the East at the time of its release, bought it for me.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of ROCKSTAR ENERGISANT BLEU GLACIER
Upon opening, a sweet and sour apple-like aroma bursts out.
The drink itself is clear blue, a common combination in North America with apple flavors and clear blue. At this point, based on past experiences, I was already expecting a solid taste. ((o(´∀`)o))
When I take a sip, the sweet apple flavor is followed by the gentle, sweet-tart taste of kiwi. The acidity is not too strong, serving more as an accent. The smooth and refreshing sweetness of the apple is truly exquisite.
The slight carbonation adds a refreshing kick, making it the perfect drink for summer with a great balance of flavor. It's not the kind of intense, rich fruit flavor you usually get, but it's still incredibly delicious.
It’s best enjoyed at refrigerator temperature. While it's also fine to add ice and chill it to the max, doing so might cause the delicate apple and kiwi flavors to lose their impact. If you have plenty of stock and can drink it all day, ice-cold chugging might be great, but if you're living in a country where it's hard to find, you should savor the flavor as is.
This color, this high level of satisfaction in taste, and the can design—everything is a perfect combination for an energy drink. I was surprised by how well it came together.
The name “Blue Glacier” made me expect a strong carbonation or menthol-type refreshing kick, but it turned out to be a regular fruit flavor, which was unexpected. Even so, the taste was flawless, and I regret that this was a limited edition.
Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR ENERGISANT BLEU GLACIER
It contains 150mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 50mg of inositol, 50mg of ginseng, and 50mg of guarana.
What surprised me the most when I checked the ingredients was that it’s sugar-free. Usually, I can sense the taste of artificial sweeteners, but with this, I couldn’t detect it at all. People who have tried Blue Glacier outside of Eastern Canada probably haven’t made a big deal of it, but this can be considered a hidden gem of a sugar-free drink.
Design of ROCKSTAR ENERGISANT BLEU GLACIER
The design features blue, red, white, and silver, with a cracked-like pattern. This kind of Rockstar design is unprecedented.
The design likely draws inspiration from the “Blue Glacier” name, depicting a blue glacier.
From this design, you wouldn't imagine the taste at all.
What's more, it's sugar-free. Normally, sugar-free would be boldly advertised, but Blue Glacier doesn't prominently feature a sugar-free label. It only mentions the use of artificial sweeteners in small text. Despite not highlighting the sugar-free aspect, it still sold incredibly well with this taste and design.
The Mysterious Rockstar that Appeared in 2015
Blue Glacier was introduced in May 2015 as a summer product exclusive to Eastern Canada. It wasn’t part of a series, and its design was unique with French labeling... Canada often has its own exclusive Rockstar products, but Blue Glacier made a particularly big impact.
It was re-released in May 2016, but there was no ongoing sale or standardization. I saw a lot of excitement on social media at the time, so I thought it might get a permanent or seasonal edition, but that didn’t happen.
Blue Glacier was a limited-edition, store-exclusive, regional-exclusive summer product, so it had everything necessary for it to be something to enjoy on-site. This is definitely a drink worth traveling to the location for.
The quality of the drink itself was excellent, but if I had been drinking it in Canada during summer, my review would have been even more glowing Σ(´∀`;). That said, seasonal products are best enjoyed where they are available, so I highly recommend using this kind of product as a reason to travel to the area.
Rockstar Canada sometimes creates exquisite flavors, and Blue Glacier is one of them. It's definitely among the world’s top-tier flavors.
