Released in May 2024. This is a review of BIG SHOCK CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE PARTY PUNCH, a limited-edition flavor for summer 2024.

The 2024 summer edition, titled “Big Shock! Celebration 2024,” featured two flavors released simultaneously. I picked this one up in July 2024, right after its launch, during my trip to the Czech Republic.

Upon opening the can, a sweet and tangy aroma reminiscent of plums and peaches bursts out. Contrary to the impression given by the can’s design, the liquid inside is a clear color with a subtle pink tint. Let’s give it a try.

As I take a sip, I’m greeted by a light sweetness with the refreshing and juicy flavors of plum and peach. The aftertaste is light as well, with a slight hint of artificial sweetener lingering.

As such, the fruity notes of peach and plum are most noticeable at the start, while the overall flavor leans slightly toward an artificial impression.

The aftertaste is clean, and the presence of artificial sweetener made me wonder if it might be sugar-free—turns out it’s a half-sugar formula.

Honestly, with this flavor profile, I feel like a zero-sugar version could have worked just as well. In many ways, I found this drink disappointing, and the high expectations I had for this seasonal flavor fell short.

Energy Ingredients of BIG SHOCK CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE PARTY PUNCH

Contains 160mg of caffeine and 2000mg of taurine. No other energy ingredients are included.

It’s nice to see that it’s a half-sugar drink with a relatively low calorie count of 75kcal per can.

It’s unclear what “CELEBRATE,” the name of this series, is actually meant to signify… With such a minimalist and artistic design, I wondered if it might be marking the 20th anniversary of BIG SHOCK’s launch—but that was last year in 2023, so this has nothing to do with it.

Since seasonal products are released every year, it feels like they might be running out of fresh ideas. That said, I’m looking forward to seeing how the next seasonal edition will deliver a unique and special experience.
