DZIK ENERGY CHERRY
DZIK is a fitness-oriented brand from Poland, which has now grown to become the “third force” among domestic energy drink makers.
This time, I’m reviewing their cherry flavor from the sugar-free fitness energy drink series, a style now familiar across North America. How does it actually taste? Let’s find out.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 8,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of DZIK ENERGY CHERRY
When opened, a sweet and tangy aroma of cherry pulp bursts out. It's a juicy impression that’s hard to believe it’s sugar-free. Now, let’s give it a try.
As I take a sip, I’m met with the thick flavor of cherry juice, leaving behind the kind of pulpy aftertaste you'd expect from real cherry flesh. The rich fruitiness and tartness make it hard to believe this is a zero-sugar drink.
Even as it warms from refrigerator temperature to room temperature, the unpleasant taste often associated with artificial sweeteners surprisingly doesn’t stand out.
Sour flavors often tend to highlight the off-notes of artificial sweeteners and struggle to convey a juicy, fruity character. However, DZIK ENERGY CHERRY handles these weak points impressively well and deserves high praise.
Energy Ingredients of DZIK ENERGY CHERRY
It contains 200mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 100mg of ginseng, and 50mg of guarana. In Poland, this makes it a high-caffeine energy drink that surpasses even the major brands.
Design of DZIK ENERGY CHERRY
The design features a deep purple wild boar pattern inspired by rich American cherries, with a clean and simple text logo at the center.
The light blue section near the bottom of the can clearly indicates its sugar-free nature with the large wording “ZERO CUKRU,” making it easy to recognize that this is a zero-sugar drink.
As expected from a fitness-style energy drink, the icons representing its ingredients are lined up vertically on the side of the can, and at the bottom, there’s a “+18” symbol.
In Poland, since January 2024, individuals under 18 are no longer allowed to purchase high-caffeine energy drinks. So this isn't just a recommendation like “18+ suggested” that you see in other countries—it's actually enforced. I once had to go through an age check by a staff member at self-checkout after an alert popped up.
On the back, the brand history of DZIK is printed.
The brand was started by four young people in a basement, and it has now grown into a nationwide enterprise that offers supplements, energy drinks, and food products in supermarkets all over the country. They've even built free outdoor gyms across Poland.
DZIK truly embodies the “Polish Dream,” and this spirit is one of the biggest appeals of the brand as an energy drink maker.
