August 2016: Release of ROCKSTAR JUICED and PURE ZERO LEMONADE in the US

New product images had been leaked for some time, but it wasn't until August that they finally started appearing in stores. Compared to the leaked images, it seems that the products were officially released in almost the same condition.

ROCKSTAR JUICED TROPICAL PASSIONFRUIT

It seems that the classic texture of the old Rockstar has been resurrected with this design. The flavor seems to be different from the previously available Mango Orange Passion Fruit.

Now that the fruit juice-flavored Rockstar has disappeared, it feels like a decent juice-flavored option has finally emerged.

ROCKSTAR PUREZERO LEMONADE

A lemonade flavor has joined the Pure Zero series, which has seen new releases consecutively since last year. Despite being a zero-sugar series, all the flavors in the Pure Zero line are excellent, so this lemonade flavor is expected to be just as enjoyable.

With Monster Energy Ultra Citron being in the same zero-sugar category, it seems like this will be a competing flavor.

This Rockstar contains the highest caffeine content among current Rockstar offerings, with 240mg.

ROCKSTAR BLACKOUT and Other New Releases Keep Coming

Soon, Rockstar Blackout will also start appearing in stores. There were rumors from leaks suggesting it might not be available in regular stores, but we'll see how that plays out.

This summer, Rockstar has released a number of new products, including these three and recently revamped Roasted Mocha and Light Vanilla, which have started showing up in stores.

Additionally, Ginger Brew was released in February, and Jamaica Cooler was released as a store-exclusive in July. The speed at which new products are being released is truly astonishing. It's hard to imagine this happening outside of the U.S. with one energy drink brand!
