ROCKSTAR PUNCHED ORANGE is an exclusive flavor in Canada from the Punch series.

In the past, orange-only flavors have been released in countries like Germany with the REVOLT KILLER MANDARIN, and in Canada with the exclusive SUPER SOURS ORANGE, as well as the classic RECOVERY ORANGE found in both the U.S. and Canada, and the long-standing zero-sugar PURE ZERO ORANGE MANDARIN.

The sugary Punch series has now brought PUNCHED ORANGE to Canada for the first time. Canada is quite interesting with the many unique flavors it releases.

When opened, a strong and unmistakable aroma, reminiscent of sugary orange drinks like Baily's Orange, immediately fills the air. The color is a vibrant, bold orange that matches the intensity of the scent. Let's take a sip.

Upon tasting, the sweet orange flavor, with a pleasant tanginess and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste, creates a classic orange experience. It’s a straightforward, clean orange flavor without any off notes.

This could be described as a classic orange juice with added sugar—there's no complexity or rich, fresh fruitiness to it. If you're looking for a more refined and natural taste, you might be disappointed.

Rockstar has several other orange-flavored drinks, and the sugar-free PURE ZERO ORANGE MANDARIN offers a similar flavor to the PUNCHED ORANGE. If I had to choose, I’d go for the sugar-free version.

Contains 160mg of caffeine, 1999mg of taurine, 50mg of inositol, 4.5mg of ginseng, and 2.5mg of guarana.

As with other drinks in the Punch series, this one contains quite a bit of sugar. With 66g of sugar in a 473ml can, it’s important to keep an eye on sugar intake more than caffeine.

The design follows the familiar look of the Punch series, with a bold orange color that’s immediately recognizable. In Canada, both English and French are used, with English on the left side of the can and French on the right.

Though this is a Canada-exclusive product, if you're familiar with Rockstar in North America, you might confuse it with the similarly-colored ROCKSTAR PUNCHED MANGO released in the U.S.

Since these are Canadian and American products, they usually don’t mix on store shelves, but with the same orange color and no flavor name on the front of the can, it could easily be mistaken for the same flavor from the U.S.

This is why I’ve mentioned in reviews before that the design is flawed. From the front, you can’t even see the brand name, and since PepsiCo took over Rockstar, the brand’s market share has been on a steady decline. It’s just been a string of unfortunate events for the company.
