Not Cotton Candy!? A Deteriorated Flavor

To compare with the regular Cotton Candy, I opened and tried both at the same time. The color is, of course, colorless and transparent. However, the scent isn't as strong as the regular version, with only a faint sweet cotton candy smell. (The regular version has a much stronger scent.)

Then, the taste was a surprise... Not only was there almost no sweet scent, but the flavor itself was weakly sweet, and I could even taste a slight bitterness. It's not the unpleasant artificial sweetener taste level, but the flavor reminded me of aluminum cans melting into the drink (although I don’t think that actually happens). I couldn’t continue drinking it...

I’m not sure if this is a deteriorated version or if it’s something that would be subject to a recall. So, I plan to buy it again when I have the chance to confirm, but this time I’ll purchase it in another state, not Los Angeles.

Energy Ingredients of bang COTTON CANDY CAFFEINE FREE

0mg of caffeine, containing creatine, BCAA, and CoQ10. Honestly, I don’t think the amount of creatine or BCAA is particularly high, so if you can’t consume caffeine, it makes me wonder what the purpose of Bang’s caffeine-free product is...

To clarify, people who take supplements seriously for their workouts might understand, but I think the caffeine-free Bang series is intended for those who take pre-workout supplements with caffeine. Pre-workout supplements sometimes contain caffeine in equal or higher amounts than Bang, so drinking regular Bang or other energy drinks along with them could lead to acute caffeine poisoning. From this perspective, it makes sense for a fitness-oriented energy drink brand to offer caffeine-free options.

However, I’d honestly prefer not to drink the Cotton Candy caffeine-free version again Σ(´∀｀；)

Design of bang COTTON CANDY CAFFEINE FREE

The regular Bang version has a black base with the theme color in the logo, but the caffeine-free series has the entire can in one theme color. Without the black, it has a less intimidating, more pop-like impression (ｕ_ｕ*)

Also, the caffeine-free version has a silver top and silver tab. If you look closely, it feels a bit cheap, but it seems like they’ve designed it differently from the regular version. For Cotton Candy, I think a pink top and silver tab would make it cuter, but I don’t think Bang would go that far (^_^;)
