That famously fast-fleeing creature has turned into an energy drink. To celebrate the release of "Dragon Quest VII Reimagined," the collaboration can "HYPER ZONe Metal Slime Energy" launched on February 24, 2026.

Is the Metal Slime essence reflected only in the design, or does it carry through to the flavor as well? I’ll dive right in and share my review.

As soon as I take a sip, I get that classic energy drink flavor layered with a sweet-and-tangy fruitiness, while the rich, energy-drink-like aroma passes smoothly through my nose. As I expected, it tastes the same as the Original.

The fruity freshness blends perfectly with the classic energy drink profile, making it easy to drink yet pleasantly addictive.

However, those who were hoping for a special Metal Slime–inspired exclusive flavor may feel a bit disappointed...
