It has been a while since ZONe delivered a can that truly captures its signature digital-inspired world. The flavor this time is “Non-Carbonated Mango Lassi,” a combination that might pair surprisingly well with curry. I’m excited to find out how it tastes, so let’s dive into the full review.

When I open the can, a tropical aroma of sweet orange and mango with a juicy fruitiness immediately spreads. The liquid has a bright, slightly cloudy color that perfectly matches a classic mango lassi. Let’s give it a taste.

As soon as I take a sip, the melting sweetness of mango pulp, the smooth mouthfeel, and the juicy, refreshing finish unfold beautifully, with a fresh orange-like fruitiness adding richness to this luxurious fruit flavor.

The fermented milk used in the formula adds a mellow sweetness reminiscent of Calpis, which enhances the deliciousness of the mango.

As I break down the flavor profile sip by sip, I can tell how carefully the taste, aroma, and texture have been crafted—so much so that it feels like a waste to simply call it a mango lassi flavor.

It’s a non-carbonated mango flavor that leaves such a pleasant aftertaste that I naturally want to go for a second and third sip.

I tried it at room temperature, chilled, and over ice, but chilled is the clear winner. Room temperature brings out a denser flavor, but at the cost of mango’s freshness and the clean, crisp mouthfeel. Ice, on the other hand, slightly mutes the richness of the mango pulp. So the ideal drinking temperature is right after taking it out of the refrigerator.

It contains 75mg of caffeine and 400mg of arginine. The sugar content—always a point of interest in the ZONe series—was surprisingly average this time. Mango juice accounts for 1% of the formula.

The metallic silver base paired with orange accents inspired by mango lassi gives it a stylish cyber-themed design.

Unlike recent ZONe releases, the placement of the power icon and the “ZONe” text below it is well-balanced, and the overall layout feels cohesive—bringing back the cool, energetic aesthetic reminiscent of the earlier ZONe designs.

The product name “GAMING 24/7” reflects the idea of “enjoy gaming anytime, 365 days a year.”

Printed on the side of the can are the words “Mango Lassi Flavor,” along with a gaming-inspired catchphrase.

This release is a collaboration between three brands—ZONe, PlayStation, and the highly regarded “Nissin Curry Meshi,” known for being easy to eat even during gaming sessions thanks to its “no soup” style—celebrating PlayStation’s 30th anniversary.

That’s why the three logos appear together on the back of the can.

The collaboration slogan is “To everyone who loves games,” a concept that feels like a true return to ZONe’s roots.

In fact, a poll conducted on X showed stronger support for the early “digital world” aesthetic than for ZONe’s more recent pop-style direction.
