When I open the can, I notice a scent of berry tartness coming out, and as I pour it into the glass, a sweet cotton candy aroma fills the air. Once it's in the glass, the berry scent nearly disappears, and the sweet cotton candy fragrance becomes the dominant impression. The liquid color is a cold, glacier-like hue. Now, let's take a sip.

Upon taking a sip, I get a blueberry tartness mixed with a lingering artificial aftertaste, resembling gum, while the sweet scent of cotton candy gently wraps around and fades away.

Despite the product name containing "vanilla," I don't really taste any vanilla-like flavor. I suspect that the sweet cotton candy fragrance is meant to evoke vanilla, but it doesn't quite meet the mark of true vanilla.

After drinking, the cotton candy scent gradually settles into a sweet, baby powder-like aroma. I wonder if this is their attempt to bring out a "vanilla flavor" in some way... But, if you're expecting a vanilla taste, you’ll be disappointed. The flavor is more of a mix between blueberry gum and cotton candy.

As mentioned earlier, there is no fruit-forward blueberry flavor, just an artificial tartness akin to gum. So, if you're expecting the rich taste typically associated with past Winter Editions, you might find this one underwhelming.

Personally, I imagine how perfect this could have been if it had a creamy blend of vanilla bean's rich fragrance, sugar, milk's depth, and fruity berry flavors—this would have been the ideal Winter Edition for a winter-only release. Unfortunately, the product name here was a bit misleading.

To add a note about the product name, it's worth mentioning that in Austria, the 2024 Winter Edition was released under the name "Iced Gummy Bear." With that name, the flavor would align more accurately with the contents, and we likely wouldn't have experienced such a strong sense of mismatch and disappointment.
