This is a review of Red Bull Green Edition Muscat, a Japan-exclusive flavor released on August 26, 2025.

This product is the permanent version of Red Bull Winter Edition 2023 Muscat, which was introduced as a limited edition on October 3, 2023.

It is a flavor that beautifully captures Japanese elegance, freshness, and the complex umami of muscat grapes. In my review at the time, I even concluded by saying, “I sincerely hope this becomes a regular edition,” as it left such a strong impression. That wish has finally come true.

By the way, the 2023 Winter Edition reportedly recorded the highest repeat purchase rate in the history of Red Bull Editions in Japan.

The reason the previous edition became the No.1 in repeat purchase rate in the history of Japanese Editions might be due to the perfect balance of the rich muscat fruitiness and a refreshing aftertaste that doesn’t linger, creating a flavor that everyone can enjoy.

Now that I try it again, I find no noticeable flaws, and the way the muscat flavor is so accurately reproduced that anyone could recognize it immediately is truly Red Bull’s strength.

It’s exciting to see a Japan-exclusive flavor—one that doesn’t exist overseas and is truly exquisite—become a permanent edition. A special Red Bull that can only be found in Japan will likely also appeal to international visitors.

In 2025, Europe has introduced Lilac Edition and Peach Edition, both permanent versions of seasonal editions, so it feels fitting for Japan to have Muscat Edition. Over more than 10 years, countless Color Editions have been released, and the pool of “colors” usable as product names is nearly exhausted. Going forward, we may see the naming shift toward “Flavor Editions” as the new standard.
