Upon opening, a strong, bitter grapefruit aroma bursts out. Wow... this is really promising ((o(´∀｀)o))

The color is rich and red, making you want to drink it right away! When poured into a glass, the scent changes, and in addition to the bitter grapefruit aroma, there's also a sweet, syrupy scent floating in the air. Huh? This is a bit off, isn't it?

Taking a sip... it has a slightly bitter grapefruit flavor with restrained sweetness, leaving no aftertaste. The rich citrus scent doesn't linger much after drinking, instead leaving a refreshing and smooth sensation. Wow, it's delicious... The sweet scent was a bit concerning, but once I tasted it, the intense, bitter fruit flavor overwhelmed me.

The bitterness of the grapefruit lingers pleasantly, and thanks to the sugar, there's no thinness, with a perfect balance of bitterness and acidity. It's easy to drink, and the fruity sensation is nicely presented. Overall, it has no unpleasant aftertaste and is a pink grapefruit flavor that anyone can enjoy. I'll definitely drink this up quickly...

If this were made with fruit juice, it would probably have a lingering, overpowering aftertaste. That would have its own deliciousness, and I'd probably become hooked, but the non-juice grapefruit twist offers a refreshing and balanced taste that you can't get with fruit juice, which is what's so great about it. I think the recipe for this one is a success.

You can enjoy the fruitiness while also experiencing a refreshing taste that's impossible to achieve with fruit juice. It's so delicious that the 355ml can feels more like a 250ml one, and I've ended up drinking it all in one go, which is a bit of a problem (^_^;)

Since the latter half of 2016, I feel like the development team must have changed, because the deliciousness of the editions made a remarkable comeback with this one.

Energy Ingredients of RED BULL SUMMER EDITION 2017 Grapefruit Twist

Contains 114mg of caffeine and 1250mg of taurine, among other ingredients. This is one of the most drinkable Summer Editions, so personally, I think I need to be cautious about over-consuming caffeine.

It reminds me of the 2014 Tropical Edition, where I could easily drink multiple cans. If I used this in cocktails, I'd definitely end up drinking too much (^_^;)

Design of RED BULL SUMMER EDITION 2017 Grapefruit Twist

For the 2017 Summer Edition, the flavor name is in gold, just like the 2016 Winter Edition. The can design itself is similar, and depending on the lighting, you might mistake it for the Winter Edition at first glance.

When you line them up, the difference becomes clear. The Grapefruit Twist can has a more flat red design, which lacks the premium feel and looks more like the usual line. It gives off a slightly matte impression.

Here, I’ve lined up the Summer Edition with the Red Edition and Winter Edition. You can see the difference with the Summer Edition being matte, and there are subtle differences in color when lined up.

It would be great if more flavors were added in the future, allowing for a gradient effect with colors other than red (●´ω｀●)

The Grapefruit Twist has already been confirmed to become a regular edition, so countries where this is available all year round must be envious. In Japan, seasonal limited editions have already stopped, but I hope they continue to release limited flavors once a year, even if just for the Summer Edition.
